A premium takeaway service started during the pandemic has grown into a full media operation for Bia Rodrigues-Perry, the Brazilian-born presenter, producer and marketing strategist now based in Warwickshire.

Her route there was anything but linear. Rodrigues-Perry had already built a marketing career in Brazil, working with well-known international brands and trading on a single strength: understanding how people talk to each other, and getting companies to do the same. Then she met her husband, moved to the UK, and found that reputation counted for very little on arrival. No contacts. No name recognition. A culture she had to learn from scratch. "I had to adapt to a new culture, build a new network and prove myself all over again," she says of those early years.

BIA'S Kitchen, the takeaway business she launched during lockdown, was never meant to be the beginning of a media brand. It was a way to keep working and to put something comforting in front of people at a bleak moment. When restrictions eased, she took stock and realised the cooking was only one part of what she brought to the table. The marketing, producing, presenting and storytelling had been sitting idle.

Pulling those threads together produced BIA'S Kitchen Show. Its debut series, Empowering the Independent Food Industry, profiled 21 independent restaurants and chefs across the UK as hospitality tried to rebuild after its worst stretch in living memory. The reaction was bigger than she expected. It led directly to her first book and pushed the show past food into wider territory — culture, business, wellbeing and the people behind the plates. "Food is still the invitation," she says. "But the real purpose has become the people behind it."

The agency followed the audience. Businesses kept approaching her for the kind of storytelling she was already doing on her own show, and BIA'S Marketing, Production & PR now handles strategy, branding, video production and publicity, alongside presenting work, documentary production, event coverage, brand partnerships, social media and photography.

Her newest series, Hot Flushes & Hot Foods, moves onto more personal ground, opening up conversation around menopause, nutrition and wellbeing. Subsequent series have also covered travel, entrepreneurship and community.

Recognition has accumulated along the way. Her book, BIA'S Kitchen Show: A Culinary Journey of Gratitude, sits alongside wins for Outstanding Entrepreneur, an Achievement Award and Best Marketing Company at the Cotswolds Awards. She is a national finalist for Content Creator of the Year 2026. The awards, she insists, aren't the measure. "Success isn't measured simply by numbers or awards, but by the impact each story has on the people who watch it," she says.

Next comes broadcast-quality production and documentary work. Having rebuilt one career already, she is treating the second climb as unfinished business.
